Dr. Hongda (David) Shen

Hongda began his clinic practice as an attending physician in 1982 after he received his bachelor degree in medicine in China. He applies acupuncture and herbal medicine to treat diverse systemic diseases as his practice combined both traditional medicine and Western medicine. Hongda believes in a well-rounded approach to treatment when combining both advantages. He works with his patients as a “health investigator”, taking the time to deeply understand the developing process of all symptoms and signs from case to case. His approach has led to the effective result for all the patients not only to the recovery process but also preventing the recurrence of such diseases. Over the past almost 30 years, he was extensively involved in clinical treatment, diagnosis and medical research experiments. The application of his acupuncture and herbal medicine provides great supporting benefits for all patients at diverse stages.

In 1992, he achieved his specialist in the field of cancer treatment as an Oncologist in China. He attends medical symposia in the fields of cancer treatment, bone marrow transplant, disease diagnosis and treatment, and stem cell research in Asia (Beijing), Europe (Frankfort, Hamburg, Freiburg and Swaziland) and North American (San Francisco, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Tremblant, Toronto) to share and learn.

His current therapeutic approach is restore your health in a natural way but perfectly combined his knowledge of both Western medicine and Chinese medicine. His skills as diagnostician are awesome. He developed his own recovery protocol for patients called “Integrating Treatment Protocol” He believes that all members of your family can benefit from his therapeutic care.

Min is his wife’s first name. They are married for 26 years and have one child, Raine, who is working in the city of Waterloo.

Hongda is licensed to practice Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine in the Province of Ontario.
